Shipping Coordinator: oversees inbound and outbound packages by communicating with shippers, managing large quantities of packages, assisting with routing, and ensuring timely delivery. Maintaining accurate records and address errors to promote client satisfaction, including shipping packing and invoicing customers for shipments.
Key Responsibilities of a Shipping Coordinator:
- Communication and Coordination:
- Communicates with shippers and carriers to secure the best rates and ensure timely delivery.
- Manages relationships with freight providers.
- Engages in regular communication with clients to address inquiries and provide updates.
- Logistics and Operations:
- Oversees booking and ongoing maintenance of all outgoing shipments.
- Monitors supply chains and shipments.
- Ensures timely schedules for client orders.
- Assists with various routing tasks.
- Manages inventory databases.
- Record Keeping and Accuracy:
- Maintains accurate and consistent records of shipments.
- Creates shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Performs computer transactions coordinating product movement, shipment, and summary reporting.
- Problem Solving and Customer Service:
- Addresses errors and issues to promote client satisfaction.
- Tracks shipments and provides alternative information.
- Provides weekly reports to management.

- Coordinates, and has direct responsibility for, a project or specific set of tasks related to a function or program or department/business unit.

- $18.00 to $30.00 per hour based on experience
